Professor He is expert in the field of Reproductive Medicine and Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ARTs). Dr. He published more than 40 research papers, including the journals, Cell Host Microbe, American Journal of Human Genetics, Journal of Medical. His research focused on fertility preservation and reproductive genetics and obtained more than 6 national and provincial research funds, including National Key Research and Development Program and National Natural Science Foundation of China. He established Human Sperm Bank of Anhui Province in 2019.

Professor He received the first prize (2018) and the second prize (2016) of Anhui Scientific & Technological Progress Awards, and won two first prize from National Maternal and Child Health Scientific & Technological Progress Awards (2019, 2021).
